MIXIT Issues with Grey Shades
This mail is to bring to your attention that certain features were deployed in MIXIT recently which you might have already noticed. We understand that it led to lot of confusion, and we are diligently working towards a permanent resolution.
Please follow the given instructions below until further notification:
What do you see now in MIXIT?
- When a Colorbuild Plus (CBP) primer setting is enabled, you will find a CBP primer suggestion for Sikkens Autobase Plus and Autowave formula if it is available. If there is no CBP suggestion available, then it will display "SGS" primer (regardless of setting selected).
What is SGS?
- SGS stands for "Sikkens Grey Shade" primer which comprises of 5 different shades from SGS1 to SGS5. These are grey shade primers introduced to Sikkens formulations in Autobase Plus and Autowave. The introduction of SGS has not changed anything with respect to colored primers or CBP primers. You will continue to get the CBP recommendation wherever it is applicable.
What does this mean in MIXIT?
- For majority of the formulations, you may see the "SGS" primer code as a mandatory color primer.
- Please consider it as a "recommended" primer instead of a "mandatory" primer suggestion and explain to the customer that this is not required to meet hiding and/or color accuracy. Nothing was changed in terms of product compared to before, when there was no Grey shade advice in MIXIT reflected.
What can we do to improve?
- Unfortunately, we cannot roll back the deployed features. The project team is working on a proper solution, deviating between mandatory and recommended primer advises.
- This is expected to be improved in the next sprint. With these further changes in the application, the addition of grey shades for Sikkens will be more user-friendly and eliminate the existing confusion.
We will notify you once we deploy new changes to MIXIT, to make it more user-friendly with clear instructions. Until then please follow the instructions.
