Effective May 1, 2026, AkzoNobel will be introducing an update to our ATC training travel process that provides greater flexibility and control for Distributors and customers attending training.
Moving forward, hotel arrangements for students attending training at our ATCs will be made directly by the Distributor or the student/shop. This change allows attendees the freedom to select accommodations that best meet their individual preferences, travel schedules, and loyalty program needs.
To continue supporting a seamless experience, each training confirmation email will include a dedicated booking link and registration code (where applicable) for the hotels currently partnered with AkzoNobel at each ATC location. These links provide access to our negotiated preferred rates; however, you are welcome to book accommodations at the property of your choosing.
To ensure full visibility and support at the local level, it is important that:
- The student’s email address is entered accurately within their training profile
- The correct distribution point is selected at the time of registration so your sales team is aware of training participation within their market
Please note that AkzoNobel will no longer be holding hotel room blocks for scheduled classes. As a result, we strongly recommend that hotel reservations are secured immediately upon class registration to ensure availability. If a student is placed on a waitlist, booking a room in advance may still be beneficial in the event of a last-minute opening. (As always, standard hotel cancellation policies will apply).
For Distributor representatives who manage training registrations on behalf of customers, we encourage you to connect with Debbie Brown to confirm that your supervisor profile is up to date with all applicable distribution points. This will ensure you receive timely notifications when students in your market register for training, allowing you to assist with travel planning as needed.
We believe this update will provide greater convenience and flexibility for you and your customers while maintaining access to preferred accommodations and negotiated rates.
